Good news and bad news. Thrilled that there have been 118 views of my new blog, bummed that there have been zero comments.
Week 1 of 2012 was a big week for us, Paige turned 3, so I had a lot of extra photos that had to be included – I have done this with 2 extra inserts.
Here is Left Side:
Right Side:
Whole Week:
Insert 1 – Front & back – (I still need to finish one of the journaling cards):
Insert 2 – Front & back – (Still need to cut the corners off the pics):
A couple more pics with the inserts in place:
Although I did PL last year I was not particularly creative and I would like 2012 to be a bit more interesting to look through.
I am finding my iPhone particularly helpful as I am taking a lot more photos, using Instagram app and also Momento app. Momento is great for noting down things as they happen and having an instant record (in calendar format) to look back on when it comes time to filling in journal cards.
Overall I am pleased with this week. Now to look through the “Room of Doom” – I mean my craftroom to start cataloguing my other projects to be worked on (and hopefully finished) in 2012.
Thanks for reading, any comments or feedback appreciated 🙂

Great pages! Really like the “She is 3” page, with the series of photos of her along the top. Could you please tell us how you did the 9 picture collage?? (the 4 by 6 photo with close-ups, mostly black and white). LOVE it!

Thanks for looking Josie. That collage was really simple:
I used PiciBooth App on iPhone to get each of the strips – saved them as separate jpg files on my laptop and then used a free program that I love called Photosheet by Photility. It is super easy use and lets you make collages at 4*6, 5*7 etc. Just drag and drop from your PC to the program.
You can download it here:

Thanks Margie – I’m pleased with the week (and the 3 year old….lol).
I’m using Clementine with 2 extra cards added on the insert (the red spot & the newsprint).

Just dropped by from The Mom Creative. Thanks for the inspiration on using other page protector formats as opposed to the standard ones…I am working on trying to incorporate them into my PL this year, and I too am hoping to be a bit more creative this year!

Love the pages! Which page protectors are you using? I have been trying to decide which ones to order other than the Style A ones… I like the extra pages you have. 🙂

I used 2 extra Becky Higgins page protectors – Design B & G – They are very versatile, I was going to cut the last row of the B but I had so many Birthday pictures.

Looks great! Love the little mixer. Is it a sticker or printed on the paper? Super cute.
sharon71 said:
The sticker is from Martha Stewart – it is part of a whole sheet with cooking items – very cute.
Thanks for looking & commenting 🙂

Last year my PL was a bit of a ‘baby’ book and I am consciously trying to add more of me in there as well.
It was an exciting day to find the kit waiting on my doorstep.

Sharon…. love your first layout! I am using the Clementine version as well and I love it. I especially like how you added the extra inserts for all the adorable pictures you took of your daughters birthday. Great way to incorporate something big that occurs during the week.
I am new to project life and to put it mildly, I am ADDICTED. I am also new to blogging! abbytdevine@blogspot.com
Can’t wait to see your weeks ahead.

I feel the same way! Lots of views but no comments! 😦 What a downer. I love the extra pages. I like adding in pieces of life as well. I have been going back and forth on the being more creative thing as well. I feel overwhelmed with life and love that it is so simple but at the same time want it to be more “me”. 🙂 What a creative pickle!
