Week 15!!!! Where has the time gone? I am so pleased with myself for staying up-to-date with this project and still being enthusiastic about it.
A warning to you that this is a very photo heavy post. I will be sharing the post at The Mom Creative – go and check out the link up for inspiration.
I spent some time going back and finishing off Week 14 by printing some more of the photos that I had forgotten and also adding a bit of embellishing.
Here are the pics:
These are the pictures that I forgot to print out last week of the Easter Bonnet Parade. Paige is giving me a few pointers on what she thinks I should add to the page.
I added some alphas and some stickers here.
I cut the rabbit from one of Paige’s Easter Egg packages.
I saved some of Paige’s hair and popped them into a small envelope that I got from an online genealogy shop. It seals and has a sticky back that I just stuck to the page protector.
Another rabbit from packaging.
I added the ribbon off this chocolate.
Another box that I cut up and put into a small pocket – it was too cute to just throw away.
The perfect sticker for this series of pictures.
I trimmed a 12×12 page protector down and put the bonnet in sideways. I know it looks a bit funny being sideways but I wanted the insert to be ‘inside’ the main pages rather than being the whole 12×12.
The back – I will probably add another picture onto this cardstock.
I kept alot of the foil from the chocolates – any suggestions about what I could do with them?
Now, onto Week 15 – the highlights included:
- more night shifts
- a playdate for Paige
- my current book
- Paige’s favourite new TV program
The whole layout:

The right side:
Some close ups:
Some shots I took in the middle of the night at work – look more interesting in a collage.
Paige and her ‘bestie’
I took all of these photos of the TV screen and then cropped them and did another collage – too cute.
Delicious little hands working on the playdoh.
A much more simple week this week. Hope that you have had a good one.
Sharon.

Another awesome week…do you print your photos at home? they come out really good… Week 15 is a bit of struggle after Easter for me… cool pictures from your work. My mum works in theatres so interesting to see what it looks like…

Thanks Nat. I print all of mine at the local Big W – they always turn out well. I usually brighten my pictures a bit if they are dark, and crop them, but that’s it.
Those pics show theatre in the middle of the night – usually there are people in blue scrubs running around everywhere 🙂

Really nice pages. I like how you captured her haircut. And great idea to do a big collage to show several pictures like you did of the night shift.
sharon71 said:
Thanks for looking Eva Marie – I think the collages are a great way to sneak in extra photos.

absolutely LOVE your pages!!! I think it’s great that you have so many pictures for the week, I’ve been slacking off a bit in the picture taking, this is such a fun project, thanks for sharing. 🙂

Thanks for looking Miriam. I am a bit up and down with the photo taking too, I think some weeks are just like that – that’s when I start getting shots of books, tv shows, meals etc.

Hi April, those night shifts knock me around. I do 2-3 each fortnight and I find that some are better than others but I HAVE to make myself go to bed and sleep enough in the daytime.

Great pages! Do you have a die cut machine? I saw someone die cut their title out of dum dum sucker wrappers once and that was really cool. That’s the first suggestion that popped to mind when you asked. I really like how you got yourself ont the page with the collage at work. I think a lot of time it’s us who are missing and that’s an interesting view into your life. Your kiddos will appreciate that years from now. I also really liked the collage of your screen. I took a picture of our tv when the tornado through town was being covered and really liked it. I didn’t think to do a collage though, that’s an idea to file away for later. It would be fun to do that for all the show my five year old enjoys. Just the other day she announced she was no longer watching baby shows like Dora & it would be interesting to record what she liked and when.

Thanks for the suggestion unfortunately I don’t have a die cut machine… I’ll think of something.
Totally agree with you about including ‘me’ in the book. I have been making a conscious effort to not make this into a baby book.
Thanks for the feedback 🙂

Oh my goodness…where to start! Great photos, first of all. I love your attention to detail. The photos don’t even need embellishing! They are great to begin with. However, the embellishments just add even more! I love your style. Great pages!

Oh wow, thanks for your kind words. 🙂

Sharon – aw those Easter shots and bits and pieces are fab. I like the way you captured your workplace at night – sometimes work is such a big part of our lives, and we forget to document the place we spend all that time. Some super cute shots of Paige this week – she is so sweet glammed up in Nana’s jewellery and the hand shot is just adorable. I also love her gorgeous little outfit in the Cherish these moments photos!

Hi Jules, thanks for dropping by…
I’m still loving this project every week and the feedback helps keep me going. 🙂

love your shots from work, great add! and your favorite book…sigh, that’s a great idea too 🙂

Thanks Kelli, I think it will be interesting to look back on the books in years to come. I’m going through a ‘fantasy novel’ phase at the moment.

I really like your pages. You have really captured the essence of this project, which is a glimpse into your life. I am inspired to take more photos of our everyday things tp include in my project – books we read, favourite tv shows, our workplaces. Your collages look great! I love the photo of your daughters cute little fingers playing with playdoh and her photo of Nana. Thanks for sharing your pages!

Hi SHARON, great 2 weeks, love all the easter stuff you added and paiges art work, her little dress with the daisys is so cute, ummm, all the foil wrappers, you could use them as the background all over the cardstock and add something pretty to the middle of the page, the bunny pics look great……..have a great week

Hi Sharon! Great pages. Love the collage of your work photos! It’s neat to see the different perspective to the craziness during the day. I loved working nights for that very reason. Also love how Paige took the picture of her Nana…that is fun to add! Hope you are well!
