This week was a quiet one for us but I still managed to find a fair bit to include into Project Life. I think it was a successful week – I have been able to include some pictures of myself and the things we have been doing – as well as the usual kiddo shots. I have to remind myself that this is not baby album and I do not want it becoming a tribute album to Paige.
I have continued to play with PSE but have also included some handwriting. Nothing too tricky in the embellishing – I have included some washi tape, labels, stickers and a couple of brads.
Here is the left side:
and here is the Right:
Here is the open layout:
And as always I think you can never have too many photos, here are some close ups.
I included the dockets from the groceries and petrol this week.
Some handwritten journaling and some washi tape.
I wear casual clothes to the hospital where I work and my family haven’t seen me in my scrubs before. I got one of my colleagues to take this photo of me at work. Paige saw it and asked “is Mummy a docky?”. I said “No, Mummy is a Nurse, we are much more important than doctors”
I added the red text to this in PSE – just typed it on.
This is a digital card that I added the text and photos to.
This little insert is the envelope from the first personal mail that my 3 year old has received – she was very excited. I have just popped it into one of those flip pockets and made some holes in the side.
One of Paige’s paintings from this week. Have just stuck it onto some white paper but I may go back and do something better – I am definitely going to trim it down and sew up the top.
So that is the week that was – even though it was just another week I think it turned out well.
At the time of writing this post I have had 1895 visits since I started this blog (4 weeks ago), which I think is incredible – thanks for looking, I hope you like it.
A special thank you also to those that leave comments – it is great to know that someone likes what you are doing and that you aren’t just ‘talking’ to yourself.
Have a great week.
PS: I am linking up at The Mom Creative

Great pages again this week. I think the washi tape really works well, and I adore the iphone love card!
One thing i wanted to ask – how do you get such clear glare-free photos of your pages in the page protectors? Any tips you can share?

Thanks Jules, I usually take my photos inside the house but near a window or open door. I am in Australia and it is pretty sunny.
If the photos are a bit dull I do edit them before I post them up by slightly increasing the ‘Brightness’ if they need it.

I love how you added your 365+1 days on the little card. Great way to document.
And I loved the homemade mac & cheese photo with words… Yuck!? My kids love homemade and won’t eat the box stuff. No rhyme or reason I guess. Your mac & cheese looks SOOOOOOO yummy!!!

Hi Sharon!
Your pages look great! Love the iPhone Love insert. I need to do something like that as I feel it is an additional appendage. 😉
Loved your story about the mac-n-cheese…oh the joys of motherhood!

Hi Sharon, another great week! I love the butterfly! I can’t believe your daughter didn’t like mac and cheese! Too funny.
My uncle is a hospital pharmacist and he has always said that the nurses are the more important ones!

Great pages. I like how you included the “first piece of mail”. Makes me wonders what my kids first piece of mail was.

Sharon I just love your pages–you have given me so many ideas! (I didn’t know there was a 365 photo app!!) I also had to chuckle at your nurse comment. Having just had a baby AND an additional hospital stay after that I couldn’t agree with you more!

I love your album!! I have to remind myself that this is not a baby book as well. Mine could easily turn into a tribute to Jenny as she does take up most of the picture spots.

This is gorgeous!!! I know exactly what you mean about not wanting it to become a tribute album to a child. I find myself having to remind myself to include items and photos of myself and hubby. 🙂
