Well I’m still up to date so that counts for something. My pages are fairly simple but they are capturing life at the moment.
I’ve been quite unwell since Christmas and seem to have lost my mojo, hopefully it will be back soon.
Still loving the Seafoam kit – it is just so subtle and really lets the photos shine. I have added a few extras to the core kit, I will keep doing this and will also be adding my Studio Calico PL kit pieces when it finally arrives.
It was a rough week here but I’ve tried to include it without being a downer:
- Insomnia for me (thank you night shifts – I am now nearly nocturnal)
- Job losses at the hospital I work at – tough times, very unsettling
- Hospital trip for me – I am supposed to be resting… with a 4 year old??
- Crafting!
- Playing with my girl
- Lego has arrived!!
- We are both in love with our Chook Cook – perfect eggs
Here is the layout:
The left side:
Added a bit of washi, some stamping and a Silhouette cutout. The tag on the title card is one that came in a parcel from Polka Dot Creative (love those little extras).
The right side:
The top left pocket is actually a transparency – it will look better when the next week goes in. I cut up a grid card to label some of the photos.
Here are some close ups:
I like the splashes of black and I think the subtlety of the Seafoam with lots of white is giving the pages a nice clean look.
I got an Olive kit last week so I might start doing some weeks in Olive too.
Hope your week has been better than mine. Thanks for dropping by…
Sharon :)

Looks great Sharon – love that Lego photo and the ‘dramatic’ quote from Paige!
She is just hilarious sometimes
Sharon you’ve done a great job of getting this done. Rest up and get well, I was much the same from end November through December and oh how I just wanted to feel well again. Lovely pages.
Thanks for the kind words Betty, hopefully I am on the mend.
Great job keeping up even though you don’t feel so well. I love the tag on the title card.
Thanks Michelle.
This is great Sharon. Sometimes it’s so hard to document those tough times yet, you are keeping up to date despite that! Well done. Gorgeous.
Cheers Petra
Way to hang in there keeping up–I struggled with that through Christmas time with pneumonia. Hope you are feeling better. Love Paige’s quote–kids are so funny!
Tell me about it Heather, this kid is hilarious some times! Still coughing and spluttering but soldiering on.
Sorry you had a crappy week (I did too!). Here’s to a better week 4
We are having cuts at my work too – they fired a co-worker right out of the blue as well. Hope you are feeling better soon. And rest, yeah that is basically impossible with a four year old!
Thanks for dropping in. I’m with you in hoping for a better Week 4!
I love that life quote. Is that from a kit? The necklace your daughter made you is beautiful! So nice to get little gifts like that.
I think I found that card on Pinterest Cerise. Happy to send you a copy if you want to leave your email.
The necklace was a lovely little surprise
